State Police Log: Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Wickford Barracks
- At 1:08 a.m. on Jan. 28, Troopers arrested Thomas E. Viola, 26, of 63 Roger Williams Dr., Johnston, RI, for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs—1st Offense—BAC Unknown and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the Town of Johnston. Viola was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and released to the custody of a family member after posting bail with a justice of the peace.
- At 11:34 a.m. on Feb. 1, Troopers arrested Joshua Belisle, 27, of 2 Oneida St., Johnston, RI for Leaving the Scene of an Accident – Damage to an Attended Vehicle. Belisle was transported to Rhode Island State Police Headquarters, processed, and later transported to 6th District Court for arraignment.
