RI State Police Arrest Log: Johnston Woman Arrested on Warrant

Tanya Silvestri, 31, had been sought for failing to appear at a sentencing hearing, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

 

Officers from the Rhode Island State Police, Lincoln Woods Barracks, reported the Sept. 17 arrest of a Johnston woman on an active court warrant.

Tanya Silvestri, 31, of 9 Violet St., had been sought by Sixth District Court, Providence, for failing to appear at an Aug. 10 sentencing hearing on a charge of driving with a suspended license brought by the State Police.

State police officers reported that they pulled over a vehicle driven by Silvestri on Monday at about 11:30 pm on Plainfield Street in Providence.

Troopers processed Silvestri at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, then transported her to the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, until a court hearing held Tuesday.

Silvestri is next scheduled to appear for a payment review on Oct. 18.
