ProJo: Charges Filed in Johnston Storage Unit Thefts

Johnston and Coventry Police suspect a 24-year-old Lincoln man in separate break-ins, the newspaper reported.

 

A 24-year-old Lincoln man faces felony larceny charges in two communities after reviewed surveillance video from Extra Space Self Storage on Plainfield Street, and Coventry Police arrested him on similar charges.

The Providence Journal reported that Johnston Police suspect Robert Giammarco in the theft of various items from 11 storage units in Johnston, including a Mona Lisa print, Louis Vitton luggage, a shotgun, and a chainsaw.

According to Johnston Police, officers from Lincoln arrested Giammarco on Aug. 2 on unrelated charges and brought him to Coventry for questioning on a breaking and entering incident from July 26.

Coventry Police presented him for arraignment in Third District Court on Aug. 3 before Judge Pamela Woodcock-Pfeiffer, who set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance.

According to online court records, Giammarco is due in Third District Court on Aug. 15 and 21 on two separate charges of driving with a suspended license.
