Police Seek IDs of Jewlery Center Thieves

Johnston Police are hoping to track down two men who allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from the Jewelry Center on Atwood Avenue recently.

Police said one of the men was caught on security cameras at the Wings to Go next door to the Jewelry Center. He is described as a black man, bald, standing between five-feet-seven and nine-inches tall, wearing glasses, a white shirt and a tan sweater over his shoulders.

The man left the scene in an black early 90's Nissan Maxima with an unknown registration.

Police said the man covered his head with the sweater and forced his way into the jewelry store. The business was closed at the time.
