I've always wondered how someone can be "cited and released" for DWI? So they are legally impaired to drive, but we let them drive home?

They probably get picked up by someone. For some reason, that I will never understand, a DUI is only a misdemeanor.

They are held until they are sober, then released. Ever hear of the "Drunk Tank", its the cell where drunks are held until sober
