When the tenant refused to open the door for the man, he reportedly hoisted his 14-year-old son up the fire escape to bang on the bathroom window in an effort to catch her attention. Woman 'Schools' Cop in Foot Chase

Staff and students at a Johnston school got two uninvited visitors on Friday afternoon at dismissal time — a Johnston Police officer and a woman he was chasing. The foot chase happened just after an accident involving a Plymouth Neon and an 18-wheeler; the school released a statement later Friday saying the woman had allegedly fled the scene of the crash, where the car apparently hit the left side of the truck, becoming wedged under the cargo box. After running behind the church next door to the school with the officer in pursuit, the woman was seen hoofing it to the front of the school and ducking into the entrance, right past staffers and students who were gathered at the door for dismissal.
