These Trix Aren't For Kids — Or Anyone Else...Johnston police recently  of a schedule V drug, suboxone (generic name    buprenorphine), possession of a schedule IV drug, clonazepam, and possession of marijuana, first offense, after finding some of his illegal substances hidden in a box of Trix cereal. Police responded to the home for a report of a woman screaming on the property. The homeowner allowed the officers into the residence and said there was no disturbance in the home. He also told the officers that his son was downstairs. Officers followed the son to his bedroom, where they found two other men and reportedly immediately saw a bong and two small burnt roach cigarettes, empty alcohol containers and two prescription bottles in plain view. The 21-year-old man charged admitted that the prescription bottles were his, and when asked if there were any other illegal substances, directed officers to the box of Trix behind the bed, where they found a bag of marijuana. The man allegedly admitted that the marijuana was also his, and that the homeowner did not know the illegal substances were in the room.

Just a Game of Chicken...A Tiverton man was arrested last week near Grinnell's Beach after he . An officer was reportedly on routine patrol when he saw two men walking and one of the men raise both hands above his head while walking into the northbound lane. The officer claims that the 35-year-old began walking at the cruiser and down the center line and that he had to  swerve to avoid hitting him. The officer claims that when he stopped his cruiser, the man started laughing, put his hands on the hood of the car and said "Yeah, I'm sorry. I was only kidding with you." The man was then placed under arrest.

All in the Family...An East Greenwich woman was visited by police last Saturday after her sister reported that  at her father's bar. The sister told police that her sibling was "highly intoxicated" and became belligerent when asked to leave. Police met the woman at her home, where they presented her with a no-trespass order, informing her she would be arrested if she went back to the bar. The woman allegedly continued to swear and make threatening comments about her sister.

Neighborly Love, or Lack Thereof...A North Kingstown man was arrested recently after he . The resident claimed that he began talking to his neighbor through his screen window about how the man treated women. According to police, the 33-year-old became angry and threw a full cup of soda through the open screen window. The man who was arguing with the 33-year-old alleged that his neighbor then punched out the window and began reaching inside, at which point the man grabbed a piece of wood inside his apartment and began to hit the suspect. After the scuffle, the window was damaged beyond repair.

'You're Lucky You're Not Toothless!'...A Coventry woman was recently arrested on charges of domestic assault and disorderly conduct after she . The victim said the 50-year-old woman had driven him to traffic court in Wakefield and, while on the way up to Warwick, punched him in the mouth twice and said, “You’re lucky you’re not toothless!” According to police, the woman punched the man again, then unlocked the doors and told him to get out. As he was trying to exit the car, she allegedly pushed him out while the car was still moving about 10 to 15 mph.

Not the Way to Clean Your Car...A Barrington man reported to police last week that , which had the top down. The vehicle was reportedly parked on another street. No other details were available.

Get Off the Bus...A 48-year-old Providence man was arrested in Warren this week after police received a report that . The man was allegedly threatening other riders, and when the bus driver told him to get off the bus, the man reportedly punched a window, causing it to shatter. Shortly after the incident police found the man, who was positively identified by a rider. He was charged with property damage and disorderly conduct.
