News Brief: JPD Arrests Coach Applicant For False Papers

Frank Nolan, of Cranston, was arraigned on Sept. 10 on charges of submitting a false background check to the Johnston School Department.

on Sept. 9 arrested a Cranston man for allegedly submitting a false background check to the Johnston School Department for a coaching vacancy.

Frank P. Nolan, of 56 New London Ave., Cranston, was arraigned Sept. 10 on a charge of filing false documents and sent to the Adult Correctional Institutions on a previous warrant.

According to a police report released Sept. 12 by Deputy Chief David DeCesare, Nolan reportedly tried to get a job with the Johnston School Department as a volleyball coach.

Nolan "attended several practices" but was not hired for the position, the report states.
