Missing Child Found Near Chad Brown Complex in Providence

Johnston Police Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo called a press conference just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday to announce that Isaiah Perez, 2, had been found in Providence.

The two-year-old reported missing after a double murder in Johnston has been found.

Johnston Police Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo confirmed in a text message that Isaiah Perez had been found, and called a press conference for about 8:45 p.m. Sunday night where further details would be provided.

Providence Police found the toddler "walking the street" around the Chad Brown neighborhood of Providence, alive and unattended, at about 8:30 p.m., Parrillo said at the press conference, and officers brought Perez to Hasbro Children's' Hospital "where he seemed to be in good health," he added.

Earlier on Sunday, Parrillo announced that a second man had been arrested in connection with the killing of two people in a home on Oaktree Drive and disappearance of the toddler.

Daniel Rodriguez, 28, of Providence, was arrested by Providence Police on Sunday afternoon, and Malcolm Crowell, 22, of Johnston, was arrested by Massachusetts State Police in Fall River, MA, just before 1 p.m.

Parrillo said that he hopes to have charges filed against both men by Monday morning.
