Man Caught Stealing Rims and Tires from New Cars

The crime allegedly happened at Metro Fiat on Hartford Avenue.

A 22-year-old South Kingston Man faces charges of felony larceny and attempted felony larceny for attempting to steal rims and tires from new cars parked at Metro Fiat on Hartford Avenue.

Police said Jesus Gonzalez, of 1375 Tower Hill Road, South Kingstown, was captured by police after he was seen running away from the scene after police arrived.

Police were dispatched to the area after a report of a suspicious vehicle parked nearby — it turned out that the suspicious vehicle was parked there by a woman who said it stalled.
