Maine Police Charge Johnston Man with Vehicular Manslaughter

A Rhode Island man is charged with vehicular manslaughter and felony drunken driving following a Sunday morning crash that claimed the life of his passenger in Biddeford, ME.
According to the Associated Press, 20-year-old Anthony Ciccone of Pepperell, Mass., was killed when a Ford Explorer driven by Christopher M. Bennett, 20, of Johnston, crashed into a utility pole.

Police said the two men were visiting friends at the University of New England in Biddeford prior to the crash.
NBC10.com reported on Monday night that Bennett was ordered held on $300,000 bail following a hearing in York County, ME.
