Katherine Drive Burglar took iPad, Cash, Jewelry

Johnston Police are investigating the burglary of a Katherine Drive house over the weekend.

Police said the residents at 9 Katherine Drive reported that someone smashed a rear sliding-glass door and stole an iPad, $250 worth of gold jewelry, $750 cash and assorted credit cards.

The break-in happened during a window of time between 7:30 and 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Police said they found a brick under the kitchen table and it was likely used to break the glass door.

The culprit reportedly opened closet doors and drawers in the master bedroom and another bedroom to take the money and jewelry. No other room was disturbed.
