Johnston Rape Suspect Faces New Charges in Providence
The person of interest in last month's death of a woman in Cranston is now being charged for a separate crime.
James Adams remains a person of interest in the suspicious death of Mary S. Grier, who was found dead in a garage behind a Cranston home.
WPRI reported today that adams has now been charged with raping and robbing a different woman by Providence Police.

Adams is being held without bail as a violator.

Since then, for an attack on a woman on School Street in that town. Police said that rape occurred on April 25.

Grier, 20, last lived on Handy Street in Providence. Before that, , where friends and relatives said she was quiet and shy but showed a lot of promise.
She moved to Cranston in 2010, family members said.
