Johnston Police Make Arrest in B&E Case

Joseph Barone turned himself in at the police station on Nov. 5, according to police reports.

 

A local man faces one felony count of attempted breaking and entering following his surrender to Johnston Police on Nov. 5.

Joseph M. Barone, 19, of 7 Hilton St., had been sought in a Sept. 17 incident on Rollingwood Drive, where officers found that two screen windows had been removed from the home.

Further investigation by Det. Raymond Peters determined that fingerprints at the scene matched Barone's, and the department later issued an arrest warrant.

Officers presented Barone for arraignment in Third District Court, Warwick, on Nov. 5. He was also presented as a probation violator, since he was serving one years' probation on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident brought by Warwick Police.
