Johnston Man Injured After Police Chase

A man was listed as fair condition after he tried to elude Johnston police and crashed his car.

Michael T. Chamberlain, 41, remained in the hospital on Thursday evening after he allegedly crashed during a police chase on Bishop Hill Road, reports the Providence Journal.  His condition was listed as fair.

Court records show that Chamberlain was charged with second degree child abuse, simple assault and disorderly conduct by the Johnston Police Department.  A warrant for his arrest was issued on March 12.  He was also issued a no contact order.

He is scheduled for a May 14 pre-arraignment conference in District Court, Providence, said the Providence Journal.
