Drug Possession, Warrant Arrests Made by State Police
The Rhode Island State Police online arrest log included a Johnston man arrested in Coventry for drug possession and a Florida man picked up in Johnston on an outstanding warrant.
A Johnston man faces drug possession charges, and Rhode Island State troopers arrested a Florida man in Johnston in separate incidents reported on the State Police online arrest log.
On Sunday, May 6 at about 1:30 pm, officers pulled over the car driven by Gregory Bagley, age 18, of 18 Belfield Drive on Nooseneck Hill Road in Coventry.
Following the stop, officers charged Bagley with possession of marijuana and driving while in possession of a controlled substance.

At the Hope Valley Barracks, Bagley appeared before a bail commissioner and was released until a court date to be determined.
State Police also announced that they had arrested Jason Ruggiero, age 21, of 784 Heather Glen Circle, Lake Mary, FL on a warrant issued by Providence Superior Court for failure to appear at a sentencing hearing for a charge of larceny under $500.

Officers stopped Ruggiero in his vehicle on Route 6 in Johnston at 4 pm on May 5, and following his formal arrest at the Scituate Barracks, Ruggiero was transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, to await a court hearing.
