Johnston Police are investigating cooking oil thefts at a local restaurant.
Police said the owner of the restaurant, Tina Poulos, contated them on April 21 and said someone stole cooking oil from a blue Newport Biodiesel drum outside the building sometime overnight the day before.
Police said the culprit broke a lock on the drum to get to the oil, which was worth about $200.
