Candidate Reports Sign Damage

Karin Gorman, an Independent running for the Rhode Island House of Representatives, contacted Johnston Police after finding one of her signs knocked down.

 

A local candidate for the Rhode Island General Assembly told that she discovered one of her campaign signs damaged on Aug. 26, a day after she installed it.

Ptlm. Philip Viens reported that he went to the location of the sign, 736 Greenville Ave., and met with Karin Gorman, who is running as an Independent for the seat currently held by Democratic Rep. Deborah Fellela.

Gorman said that she had placed the sign on Aug. 25 at about 10 am and found it on the ground "with minor damage," Viens wrote.

According to Viens, Gorman said she planned to replace the sign.
