B&E Suspect Arrested

Johnston Police make a second arrest following reports by neighbors about men breaking into vacant homes.

arrested a suspect in a case of from June 4 that was aided by neighbors calling in reports to the police department.

Geoffrey L. Purmont, of 80 Stone Church Road, Tiverton, was arrested on June 8 at the Harrington Hall homeless shelter in Cranston for breaking and entering into a house without consent and conspiracy.

Johnston detectives and patrolmen went to the Harrington Hall homeless shelter with officers from the Cranston Police Department on June 8 at around 10 p.m. in an effort to locate Purmont.

Ptlm. Luca Lancellotti Jr. reported that Purmont was found on the front steps of the shelter and arrested without incident.

Another suspect, Michael Kollett, of 115 Burgess Ave., Providence, was arrested on June 4 and sent to the ACI on five outstanding warrants.
