Vandals: Johnston Police are investigating a weekend incident in which vandals apparently drove onto local sports fields and tore them up with the vehicle's tires. Det. Thomas Dwyer is heading up the investigation — call the JPD at (401) 231-4980 if you hav any information that may help locate the suspects.

Sun: Looking like a taste of spring today, according to the JohnstonPatch WeatherBug forecast. Highs in the upper 30s with wind gusts up to 20 mph. Overnight lows in the 20s, then warming up to the mid-50s on Wednesday.

Goonies: Marian J. Mohr Library hosts a showing of the classic 1985 movie Goonies today at 2:30 p.m. for students in grades 6 through 12. At 3 p.m., there's a meeting of the Contemporary Book Club featuring The Family Fang by Kevin Wilson.
