The new home of the Johnston Recreation Department tops the list of 5 Things to Know Today.

 

1. Displaced: Following last weekend's fire, the Johnston Recreation Department has been relocated to Johnston Municipal Court, and is set to re-open Thursday. So, for all the folks looking to sign up the kids for fall basketball, go to 1600 Atwood Ave. instead of Memorial Park.

2. Dancing: The Johnston Senior Center hosts ballroom dancing today beginning at 1 pm. Membership required; annual fee is just $10.

3. Drive: Give a pint, save a life — Metro Kia is hosting the American Red Cross for a blood drive today from 11 am to 3:45 pm. Call Angelo Caliri at 860-681-3917 to set an appointment.
