Community Update

Everyday people of faith are ridiculed and maligned by the
liberal element who have become emboldened whose god is the god of the here and
now that rules the almighty buck, which brings me to this commentary.

            I have
always had a relationship with God; in fact I even walked with Him once. As a
child I always felt safe knowing He was watching over me in which we most
urgently need to get Him back into our lives via vouchers for education and allowing
our children their constitutional right to start the school day with a moment
of silent prayer.

            Those of
you who read my commentaries know I strongly believe in the expression God,
family and country. But those expressions of love for Him and concern and
appreciation for others have been replaced with the perverse liberal slogan "political
correctness;" it's their way or the highway…

            Over the
course of my life I have asked for forgiveness many times, in fact of the many
blessings we take for granted one such blessing is just being inclined to
please Him which always makes us feel better about ourselves as we continue to better
ourselves and enrich the lives of those around us.

            During
those shaky teen years I often wondered how others could believe so fervently.
The reality here is reading the right materials are like tools to build a better
life; "political correctness" is one such aspect but to accomplish
the opposite. When you consider the various backgrounds of people of faith we
are talking of people who have enormous intellectual capacity; doctors,
geologists, astrologists, scientists of all fields and great philosophers; men
and women who study and research the hearts and minds of man and the universe
that surround us. Question, what is it that they know that we should be mindful
of?

            Recently I
have been commenting on various articles on the Johnston Patch; always from a
logical, pragmatic truthful conservative perspective. However, the liberals who
read them love to ridicule my assessments of the articles. They use names like
R.S. or Rhode Runner etc; never revealing who they are as they come at you from
their dark and dirty little crevasses. One such comment was, "I don't
believe in god or false Prophets like you. The big bang theory and science just
makes sense". And, they throw in language like clown, conservative
hypocrite and stupidity and even resort to outright lies etc; it truly is their
way or the highway. However, the way of people of faith is to always try to
reason with others and encourage them in a thoughtful compassionate respectful way,
which is always the best way to plant a seed of wisdom.

            Yes, their
are those like me who have never been perfect but will never stop trying and for
most of us as we continue on we will continue to try to better ourselves and
faith is the tool that will lift us up. The reality here is it will always be
our faith and love in Him that will bring about all good things in which the
liberal element knows full well and fears. When you consider the laws,
policies, programs, ideologies and philosophies that liberal minded people
embrace and try to force upon our society it truly is a mental disorder. 

            In closing
the moral of the story is very elementary. One day when these spiteful liberal
minded people come to the end of their road who have never had any regards for
others who had gone through life with their hands always extended outward; like
the takers that they are, they will indeed be wishing that God is alive and
well and filled with forgiveness and readying to embrace them; a fear of such
monumental proportion that I wouldn't wish on no one.

            Why would
anyone be so disrespectful of people of faith? Who have come to know an awesome
understanding of whom, why and what we are via the Holy Bible that's all about
love and a healthy discipline?  I can
only hope that my words over these past 20 plus years have touched a few hearts
and minds for the better; my inclination… I hope in the next election more life
long well intentioned Democrats will have a change of heart and realize the
need to change leadership and elect conservatives to our local, state and
federal governments. Those of you who agree with me I hope you will want to
