What Do You Think of the NFL's Replacement Referees?

Here's your chance to sound off on the quality of the officiating in the NFL and what you think should be done about it.

If you're a local football fan, the New England Patriots' controversial Sunday Night loss to the Baltimore Ravens probably left you with a bad taste in your mouth — and a strong opinion about the status of officiating in the NFL.

The much-discussed replacement referee issue was forced front-row center again Monday night, when a nationally-televised game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers appeared to be determined by an incorrect call made by a team of back-up officials.

JohnstonPatch wants to know: What do you think about the quality of officiating in the NFL?

Do you think the league owes it to the players, owners and fans to put the best product on the field, no matter what it costs?

Should League Commissioner Roger Goodell bend to the demands of the locked out referee union to get them back on the field as soon as possible? Do you sympathize with the replacement referees who are working under a great deal of pressure with little experience?

It is awefull, barelly above high school. I can't imagine anyone expected anything different. You have entire league of 1st year NFL refs. who aren't even from the next level of top line DIV I college. What a mess these clowns created.
