Reader's Choice: Best Spot to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Where do you like to celebrate all things Irish?

Whether you're Irish, know someone who is, or just wish you were once a year, you've probably got plans to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Once a mainly religious holiday, the modern St. Patrick's Day has evolved into one of the most widely celebrated celebrated saints days in the world, albeit in a largely secular manner, according to wikipedia's authors. History.com notes there are nearly 7 million people in the U.S. with Irish roots

We here at Patch want to know: What's your favorite spot to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Is it a cozy bar with green beverages, a restaurant that cooks their annual corned beef dinner just right, or a spot with the perfect view of the local St. Patrick's Day parade?

Are you thinking of checking out the new (where RI Alehouse used to be)? Or are you a regular at ?
Maybe you're headed to — they'll even do take-out corned beef and cabbage (but be sure to call ahead to arrange it).
Then again, how about a few racks of pool at Part II Lounge? Or a rockin' time with Vennt at on Putnam Pike?

Whatever your choice, Johnston has a few good places to celebrate the wearin' of the green — let us know where you're headed on Saturday night by voting on our poll.

Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. If we left your favorite spot off the list, note that in the comments as well.
We'll leave the poll up all week then close voting at 9 a.m. Friday. At noon that day, we'll share your top local pick. Then be sure to watch the site over the weekend when we tally up the top votes and announce the place that got the most rave reviews across all of our Rhode Island sites.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.
