Gas Prices Decline — Are You Feeling Any Relief at the Pump?

After bumping up against $4 per gallon, regular unleaded prices have been dropping. Is it making any difference for you?

 

It's been just over five months since gas prices in Johnston nudged up against $4 gallon for regular unleaded — and after a summer of up-and-down bounces, the average price is on a decline, according to Marketwatch.com.

According to AAA.com, the average price of a gallon of 87-octane was $3.87 as of Sept. 28, down a penny from Thursday and five cents lower than the average a week ago.

In Johnston, two local stores were offering regular unleaded at $3.80 per gallon this morning, according to the JohnstonPatch Commute page.
