5 Things, Mar. 26: Sunday Best, Debate, Commute, Jobs, Zeppoles

It's the final Monday of March, 2012 — and our final Monday edition of 5 Things To Know Today for the month.

Sunday Best: With spring officially upon us, we're asking readers to offer their ideas on the best place in Johnston to shop for your Sunday best. Click here to add your vote and post your comments.

Debate: Yesterday afternoon, we kicked off a new feature on JohnstonPatch that we're calling The Great Debate. It's a chance to think about the "big questions" raised by the news that's happening in town and offer your opinions. This week, we ask whether the town's response to the soccer field vandalism was appropriate, or over-the-top. If you'd like to ask a "Great Debate" question, send it along to joseph.hutnak@patch.com

Commute: Just in case you didn't fill the take after work last Friday — or haven't had a chance to catch the traffic report — click here to find the lowest gas prices nearby and check the conditions on the road.

Zeppoles: It was on this date in 2011 that we reported the recall of baked goods made by DeFusco's Bakery due to salmonella contamination found in zeppoles made there. At least two deaths were blamed on the tainted pastries, and DeFusco's later wnet out of business.
