OMG PD: Not A Real Road, Bad Mom & Bad Meal

I Asked For Medium, Not Medium Rare

We’ve all been there: you’re out to eat, starving, and salivating over your soon-to-be dinner. Then, the server finally brings over that meal you’ve really been looking forward to…and it’s not done properly. You understand mistakes are made (we’re all human), but you’re nonetheless still kind of pissed. One Newport woman reportedly decided to make her (should-have-been) internal dialogue known to all at Aquidneck Pizza last week when her meal wasn’t up to snuff. According to reports, she began swearing and throwing silverware around. When police arrived, the woman had calmed down but seemed to be a wee bit drunk. She was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.

Mother of the Year

Priorities: this woman doesn’t have them, apparently. A 22-year-old mother decided to forego securing a babysitter for her infant and toddler sons so she could do something very important: rob her neighbor. The neighbor allegedly caught the woman in the act of stealing her purse and, when she confronted her, the Mother of the Year struck her in the face and then grabbed her hair. She fled the scene on foot with a heavy-set man and, as police searched for her, found her two young sons alone and crying in her apartment. The mother returned, allegedly drunk, and was placed under arrest. Her children were left in the care of another family member.

There’s No Road Here By That Name, Ma’am

Benjamin Franklin once said, “In wine there is wisdom.” Well, we’ve got a police report to refute that claim. A Woonsocket woman, who claimed to have had one glass of wine before her journey across town, was pulled over on suspicion of drunken driving. She told police repeatedly she was going to her friend’s home on Littlefield Road. No matter how many times she repeated, it could not change one, clear-cut fact: there is no Littlefield Road in Woonsocket. After she failed her field sobriety test and was arrested on DUI charges, she admitted to officers that she had consumed more like four glasses of wine – in addition to the marijuana she smoked earlier.
