Virginia D. (Wilson) Uva

A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Saturday at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Johnston.

Virginia D. (Wilson) Uva, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012.  She was the wife of the late Alexander Uva.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Eric J. and Virginia (Guarino) Wilson.

Mrs. Uva was employed by the former Mine Safety Appliance of Providence in quality control for 30 years until retiring in 1993.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen M. Rossoni and her husband Patrick and Elaine D. Willard, both of Johnston; her grandchildren, Michael and his wife Lisa, Eric and his wife Margaret and Alexandra; and her great granddaughters, Tessa and Emma. She was the sister of John E. Wilson of Johnston.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:30 am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Johnston at 9:30 am.

Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. 

VISITING HOURS: Friday 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Food Closet, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
