Stephen J. Kabbas Jr.

The Johnston resident and Army veteran passed away on July 25, 2012.

 

Stephen J. Kabbas Jr., 67,  of Johnston, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012. He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Noreen (DeRosa) Kabbas.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Lucille (Michaud) Kabbas of Providence and the late Stephen J. Kabbas Sr..

Mr. Kabbas was employed by V-Tron Electronics, South Attleboro, MA for 32 years until retiring. He was a graduate of Warwick Veterans High School and attended NE Tech and Bryant College and served in the Army during Vietnam.

Stephen was an antique car enthusiast, his passion was restoring and building antique cars and spending countless hours traveling with his friends to car shows.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Lea Kabbas of Providence; Michelle and Lauren Kabbas, both of Johnston; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Christian, Mark Jr., Hannah, Maxwell and Olivia. He was the brother of Michael and Bruce Kabbas, both of Providence, and nephew of Emilienne DelBonis of Johnston.

His funeral will be held on Monday at 9:45 am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine’s Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence, at 11 am. 

Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. 

Visiting hours: Sunday 4-8 pm.
