Ralph A. Sommaruga
Services for the Army veteran of World War II are scheduled for Saturday morning, Sept. 15.
Ralph A. Sommaruga, 85, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Guadagnoli) Sommaruga. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late John and Carmella (Piccola) Sommaruga.
Ralph was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife of 46 years, he is survived by a sister, Susie Sutherland; his brother-in-law, Pat Guadagnoli; three sisters-in-law, Carmela Sommaruga, Lucy Guadagnoli and Rita Guadagnoli; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Louis Sommaruga.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 8:45 to 9:45 am, followed by a service at 10 am in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
