Obituary: Salvatore Bruzzese, 89

Salvatore Bruzzese, 89, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home.

He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Anna Maria (Covelli) Bruzzese. Born in Grotteria, Reggio Calabria, Italy he was the son of the late Tomasso and Immocolata (Carabetta) Bruzzese.

Mr. Bruzzese was the Founder and Co-Owner of Supreme Dairy in Warwick; and he also was a combat veteran in the Italian Army-Allied Forces. Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children, Thomas Bruzzese and his wife, Mary of MA, Raymond Bruzzese and his wife, Marilyn of Johnston, Lori Szlashta and her husband, Michael of Cranston; his cherished grandchildren: Valentina, Victoria, Adriana, Angelica, Tommy, John, and his dear siblings: Vincent Bruzzese of Warwick, Caterina Carlino, Lena Ientile, Pasquale Bruzzese, all of Italy.

He was also the brother of the late Iolanda Repice.

His funeral will be held on Monday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Rocco's Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday morning 9-10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
