Obituary: Patricia S. (Downs) Laffey

Patricia S. (Downs) Laffey, 73, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Miriam Hospital in Providence.

She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Laffey. Patricia was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Savella) Downs. Mrs. Laffey was an administrator at Fatima Hospital in North Providence until her retirement.

Patricia is survived by her loving children Susan Alger and her husband William of Warwick, Lissa Tomich and her husband Daniel of San Pedro CA, Leslie Florio and her husband Raffaele of Johnston, Loren Calabro and her husband Dan of Warwick, Marc Laffey and his wife Jayne of Warwick. She was also the cherished grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 3 and dear sister of Pauline Moretti of VA and Thomas Downs of Cranston.  

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4-7 pm.
