Obituary: Michael J. Wetzel, 51

Michael J. Wetzel of Johnston passed away Monday, Jan. 21 with family and loved ones at his side. He was 51 years old.

Born in Providence, he was son of Edmund F. Wetzel, Jr. and the late Claire (DeStefano) Wetzel. Aside from his father, he leaves behind three sons –  Vincent A. Wetzel, Cameron M. Wetzel, and Jaymes T. Wetzel. Additionally, he leaves behind his siblings Steven E. Wetzel, Diane M. Wetzel and Alesia J. Payne, along with two nephews.

Wetzel was the owner and operator of J&C Auto Sales, Inc.

A Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m., in Holy Apostle Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston, to which relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
