Jean A. (Masso) Lanzi, 88, of Johnston passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at West View Nursing Home in West Warwick. She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Giacomo “Kelly” and Josephine(Bessacini) Masso.
Jean was a Book Store Manager for RISD for 22 years until her retirement; and was a member of the Mother Consolation Society at St. Bartholomew’s Church. Jean enjoyed cooking for parties and being around loved ones.
She is survived by her loving children, James R. Lanzi and his wife Linda of Warwick, Alexander J. Lanzi and his wife Donna of West Warwick and Joseph A. Lanzi and his wife Paula of Warwick. She was also the cherished grandmother of James V. Lanzi, Stephen M. Lanzi, USCG, Lauren N. Lanzi, Janna-Jean Lanzi, Christian J. Lanzi and was the dear aunt of Jeannie Pattek, Joanne Gianinni and her husband Steven, Susan Lennon and her husband Joe; and several great nieces and great nephews. Jean was also the dear sister of the late Margaret DelSesto.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Saturday morning 9-10 am.
