Obituary: Germaine E. Gallison, 98

Germaine E. Gallison passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the age of 98.

The following obituary was provied by Tucker-Quinn Funeral Home in Greenville.

Germaine E. (Petit) Gallison passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16. She was 98 years old. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Gallison.

Born in Canada, she was daughter of the late Emery and Clothilde (Ostiguy) Petit. Gallison lived in Johnston for more than 65 years and was an assembler for the former Blaker Brothers Co. for 31 years before retiring in 1972. She is survived by one son (Raymond E. Gallison Sr. of North Providence), two daughters (Marie Desnoyers and Claire Labadie of Greenville), seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Bernadette Schautel, Eugene, Emery and Roland Petit. 

Her funeral will be held Saturday Jan. 19 at 8 a.m. from the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, Greenville. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Saturday morning 8 to 9 a.m.
