Dorothy M. Mitola, 82, of Johnston, went to heaven on angel's wings on Thursday August 1, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late V. George Mitola, Sr.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lottie B. (Limmer) Sylvia.
She is survived by her loving children, who cherished her. Daughters, Martha I. Capirchio and husband Fernando Capirchio, Dorothy Hemminger and her husband John, Joanne D. Mitola and one son V. George Mitola, Jr. and his wife Carol Mitola. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, Ronda LaChapelle, Lisa Capirchio, Tammy Andrew, Denise O'neppo, Martha Washington, Amanda Vetelino, Kara Mitola, and Marissa Mitola along with seven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Madeline O'Brien and the late Louis Manchester, James Sylvia and William Sylvia.
Dorothy was co-owner of R I Roof Truss Co., with her late husband. Her tender smile, loving heart and touch will be eternally remembered and missed. She will forever live on in the hearts of all she so graciously touched.
Her funeral is Monday at 8:45 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours SUNDAY 5-8 p.m.
