Obituary: Domenic R. Vicario, 83, Korean War Veteran

Domenic R. Vicario, 83, of Johnston, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Brothers) Vicario for 61 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raymond and Michelina (Costantino) Vicario. 

Domenic worked as a truck mechanic for the Post Office for 32 years until his retirement. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Donna Wells of Valrico, FL and Raymond D. Vicario of Cranston; grandchildren Raymond E. Vicario, Lisa McCarron, Matthew Vicario and David D' Angelo; step-grandchildren Michael and Daniel Russo; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Alfred Vicario of Phoenix, AZ and John B. Vicario of Johnston. He was also the brother of the late Louis and G. John Vicario. 

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
