Obituary: Carol A. (Biccicco) Merolla, 67

Carol A. (Biccicco) Merolla, 67 of Johnston, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of 49 years to Anthony J. Merolla, Jr.

Carol was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Ralph and Lena (Cerio) Biccicco.

Mrs. Merolla was an accomplished Author, Poet, Children's Writer; having many of her non-fiction, fiction, and poetry works published over the years. 

Besides being the beloved wife of Anthony, she was the loving mother of Anthony J. Merolla III of Smithfield, Kevin J. Merolla of Johnston, Kimberly Merolla-Brito of Riverside, cherished grandmother of Isabella Merolla, Autumn Brito and was also the dear sister of Elaine Albano of Johnston and the late JoAnn Biccicco.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5-8 pm.
