Anthony Parascandolo, Sr., 86, of Johnston, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Boranian) Parascandolo for the past 62 years. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Nicola and Annunziata (DellaRagione) Parascandolo.
After graduating high school, Anthony joined the family business N. Parascandolo & Sons Wholesale Fish Dealers in Newport as co-owner and worker, and was also co-owner of H. N. Wilcox Trap Fishing, Inc.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Anthony Parascandolo, Jr. and his wife Susan, Alan Parascandolo and Gerald Parascandolo; loving grandfather of eight; loving great-grandfather of one grandson; and dear brother of Nicholas Parascandolo, and the late Michael Parascandolo, James Parascandolo, and Louis Parascandolo.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 10:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston at 12 noon. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS are MONDAY MORNING from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
