Gloria [Nero] Palmieri

The owner of D. Palmieri's Bakery passed away on Sept. 17, 2012.

 

Gloria [Nero] Palmieri, 82, of North Providence, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. She was the wife of the late Domenic S. Palmieri.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Angelina (Audino) Nero.

Gloria was the owner of D. Palmieri’s Bakery located on Killingly St. in Johnston.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Palmieri and his wife, Susan; a daughter, Melissa Fernandes and her husband, Steve; her daughter of the heart, Mary Tobin; a brother, Norman Nero; a sister, Rose E. Ravo; and her four grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Eric, Talia and Jacob. She was the sister of the late Ernest and Frank Nero, Viola, Chircella, Mary Gallucci and Josephine Bertuglio.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at 10 am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth St., North Providence.

Visiting Hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
