Anthony Albanese: Forman for BIF Industries

The Johnston resident passed away on Dec. 2, 2012.

 

Anthony Albanese, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at the Morgan Health Center. He was the husband of the late Loretta (Mattera) Albanese.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Benedetto and Teresa (DiMundo) Albanese. He lived in Providence before moving to Johnston where he had lived for many years.

Mr. Albanese was a Foreman for the former BIF Industries until retiring in 1985. In his youth, he served in a Civilian Conservation Corps Camp. He was a longtime member of the YMCA and he credited his longevity to his commitment to swimming three to four times a week.

He is survived by his daughters, Loraine C. Bizzacco and her husband, Anthony and Janice Silvestri and her husband, Richard, all of Johnston; his granddaughters, Michelle DiPetrillo and her husband, Brian of Smithfield and Sherry Montaquila and her husband, Robert of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Mary D'Agostino, John Albanese, Benedetto "Taxi" Albanese, Luigi Albanese and Angelo Albanese.

His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday morning at 11 am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.Visitation 9:30 to 10:30 am. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
