Americo Aurecchia, 89: Owner, Acme Electric

The Johnston native passed away on Oct. 4, 2013.

Americo Aurecchia, 89, of Pezzullo St., Johnston, passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at The Village at Waterman Lake in Smithfield, according to Nardolillo Funeral Home. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Antonio R. and Eufrasia (Iannuccilli) Aurecchia.

Mr. Aurecchia was the owner of Acme Electric for over 55 years before retiring and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his loving caretaker for many years, Lori Elliott and her fiancé Howard Johanson, Jr.; his siblings, Albert Aurecchia, Dean Aurecchia and Delmazia Cute; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Adolph, Luigi and Walter Aurecchia, Elissa Okerblom and Anna Morrill DiRaimo.

Funeral from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, on Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
