Buy A Ticket, Win... Meat?

The senior center hosts its "Where's the Beef?" meat raffle tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m.

Tired of trying to win $2 on scratch tickets?

Here's a raffle with some meat to it — literally.

The Johnston Senior Center, 1291 Hartford Ave., is scheduled to host its "Where's the Beef?" meat raffle tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m.

Just one $20 ticket enters participants in 40 raffles — 20 for 10-lb. meat packages, courtesy of Stop & Shop, and 20 for turkeys donated by Group Benefits.

And since winning tickets are "chucked" back into the proverbial hat, there's more than one opportunity to win.

You don't even have to be present to "corral" your prize. (Although the Patriots aren't playing until 8 p.m., so what else are you going to do with your afternoon?)

For tickets, call Jude at the Senior Center: 944-3343; Cindy Galipeau: 944-6778; Louise Iannotti: 942-0576; or Linda Quinn: 475-3648.
