Johnston Relay for Life Kick-off Night

The Johnston Relay for Life Team "Mad Hatters" will hold the 2nd Annual Relay for Life Kick-off Night to benefit the American Cancer Society on April 16th at Bar 101 in Johnston.  

This event is for those age 21 and older.  Tickets are $5.00 at the door.  Evening will include live music, food, raffles and a silent auction.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is an opportunity for communities all across the country to "celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease."  

At Relay events,  "teams" of participants "camp-out" at a local high school, park or athletic area and take turns walking or running around a path or track.  Each team is required to have a member on the track at all times during the event.  "Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length."

Johnston's 2011 Relay for Life event will take place June 3rd & 4th at Memorial Park.
