The Johnston Relay for Life Team "One Step At A Time" will hold a fundraising dinner to benefit the American Cancer Society on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Cranston Country Club, 69 Burlingame Road, Cranston, RI.
Tickets are $ 25.00 per person. Children under 12 are $10.00. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time or at the door. Tables can be reserved for parties of 6-10 people. To obtain a ticket or reserve a table please call or email Lori Boffi at 401-575-0643 (lboffi@aol.com.)
The event will feature a family-style, all-you-can-eat, dinner of salad, pasta, roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, green beans, ice cream, coffee and pastry. There will also be a silent auction, raffles and a sports memorabilia auction.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is an opportunity for communities all across the country to "celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease."
At Relay events, "teams" of participants "camp-out" at a local high school, park or athletic area and take turns walking or running around a path or track. Each team is required to have a member on the track at all times during the event. "Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length."
