You Know It's Cold Out When ...

How do you judge when it's cold out or when it's just New England typical weather?

It's definitely cold out this week, with winter reminding us we live in New England. Temperatures dipped into the teens early this morning in Johnston, even flirting with single digits.

What made you shiver this morning? Taking the dogs out? Standing at the bus stop? One reader said "you know it's cold out when the wet clothes in the dryer are frozen."

My wife laughs when she hears people complain about the cold weather. This is not cold she says. My wife is from Russia.
