Tricky Morning Commute Expected For Tuesday

Reminiscent of last week's Nor'easter, two storm fronts are tracking toward New England — but the result could be much different this time.

After last week's snowfall, this may not be welcome news to folks in Johnston — there's another potential Nor'easter setting up to reach the area Tuesday morning, January 18.

Two weather systems, one moving east from Michigan and the other tracking north from North Carolina, are expected to reach New England late tonight. Winter storm warnings had already been posted for most of western Massachusetts by 2:45 p.m. Monday.

Early forecasts are calling more for sleet than snow, though — about an inch of snow is expected in the morning, followed by heavy rains as the temperature rises into the mid-30s. Up to an inch of rain is expected for Rhode Island and areas near the coast.
