Spring Ahead — It's Daylight Savings Time!

DST takes effect at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 11.

Yes, it is that time of year again — beginning 2 a.m. Sunday morning, March 11, clocks get set ahead one hour for Daylight Saving Time in most of America. [Link goes to National Geographic website.]

All states who change their clocks, step forward — not so fast, Arizona and Hawaii. And Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Marianas Islands, you're exempt, too.

It's a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors and other household alarms. Change the clock, change the batteries — almost as catchy as "Spring ahead, fall back."
