RIDOT Lists Traffic, Construction Schedule

The state Department of Transportation posts its weekly list of projects and traffic pattern changes scheduled through Friday, July 29.

Rte. 6:

Providence: Rte. 6 EB & WB, alternating lane and shoulder
closures for bridge inspections, Sunday-Wednesday from 9 p.m.
to 5 a.m. Lane restrictions are as follows:

  • Sunday: Rte. 6 WB, from Dean St. to the Rte. 6/Rte. 10 split
  • Monday: Rte. 6 EB, from the Rte. 6/Rte. 10 split to Dean St.
  • Tuesday: Rte. 6 WB, from the Providence Place Mall to Atwells Ave.
  • Wednesday: Rte. 6 EB, from Atwells Ave. to the Providence Place Mall

Rte. 4 to South County Beaches:

East Greenwich: Rte. 4 NB & SB, from Exit 6 (Rte. 2) to Exit 7 (Frenchtown Rd./Rte. 403), alternating lane closures for bridge inspection, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Rte. 146:

Lincoln: Rte. 146 NB and SB, from just south of Sherman Ave. to Rte. 116 (George Washington Highway), alternating lane closures for drainage work, Sunday-Thursday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

North Smithfield: Rte. 146 NB & SB, from the Massachusetts state line to the Rte. 146A exit, alternating lane closures for crack sealing, Monday-Thursday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Interstate 295:

Cumberland/Lincoln: I-295 NB & SB, from Exit 9
(Rte. 146) to Exit 11 (Rte. 114/Diamond Hill Rd.),
right lane closed for bridge inspection, Sunday- Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Lane restrictions are as follows:

  • I-295 NB between Exit 9 (Rte. 146) and Exit 10 (Rte. 122 /Mendon Rd.)
  • I-295 SB between Exit 9 (Rte. 146) and Exit 11 (Rte. 114/Diamond Hill Rd.)
