No Spooky Walk at Memorial Park This Year
Scheduling conflicts led the local recreation department to cancel this year's event, according to an announcement on the department's website.
The Johnston Recreation Department will not be holding its Spooky Walk at Johnston Memorial Park this year, the department announced on its website.
Recreation Planner Vin Jackvony said the cancellation is due to "scheduling conflicts," and was not based on the arrival of Hurricane Sandy on Oct. 29.

"We hope to bring it back next year, but this year it just wasn't possible," Jackvony said.
